Add what genre a movie is and include it in the RSS feed!!!
An error occurred while saving the comment AdminKrunk4Ever (Admin, HD-Trailers.net) commentedThere's already a way to group trailers by genre if you visit our blog:
http://www.hd-trailers.net/blog/On the right sidebar, go down to Categories, and select the genre you want.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminKrunk4Ever (Admin, HD-Trailers.net) commentedThis would have to be a manual process. Not quite sure how one would automate this given that many movies tend to have the same name as another film.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminKrunk4Ever (Admin, HD-Trailers.net) commentedWe've thought about that and we've occasionally posted HD game trailers, but personally http://www.gametrailers.com/ does a pretty good job already and they already allow downloading.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminKrunk4Ever (Admin, HD-Trailers.net) commentedAre people having issues with 480p? I've never really had streaming issues with the 480p version.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminKrunk4Ever (Admin, HD-Trailers.net) commentedNot sure if we want to create a user/login system just for showing which trailers have been downloaded. Later if we decide to create a comment system and/or provide more user-specific features, that then sounds more feasible.
A easier approach would be using the existing browser capabilities, which show you links which you've visited in the past based on your history (e.g. blue for new link, purple for visited link)

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminKrunk4Ever (Admin, HD-Trailers.net) commentedI'm not sure I follow your example... When does Apple deal have duplicate trailers or multiple sources?
The problem with determining duplicate trailers is that there's no easy way to automate it. One solution is to have users mark it as duplicate.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminKrunk4Ever (Admin, HD-Trailers.net) commentedOur old default was to sort by source followed by trailer name. However visitors found it confusing on which trailer was the newest, hence the new default sorting order.
I still believe sorting by date makes the most sense, but what might work is sorting on the fly, where you click on a header and it'll sort by that column. Then you can sort by date, trailer name, or source.
We already support HTML5 on Chrome and Safari. Firefox doesn't have H.264 support yet and despite IE claiming to have HTML5 support for H.264, we've never gotten it to work. In that case we fall back to Flash, and if you don't have Flash installed, we fallback to QuickTime.

http://blog.hd-trailers.net/2011/12/27/quicktime-fallback/
Another possible reason you're seeing the QuickTime player is trailers hosted on Apple only allow QuickTime players to download from. You can read our tutorial on how you can use spoof your browser so you don't have to use the QuickTime player:
