Only push movie to top when new clip/trailer added
The site may already do this but I swear I've seen the order of movies rearrange for no discernible reason. Sometimes I think this happens when the poster for a movie is changed. The default sort should be by latest clip/trailer add date descending.
This issue has been fixed.

This obviously doesn't bother most people since it has no upvotes. I'm guessing most people visit occasionally looking for trailers for specific movies. I visit this site daily and the order of trailers continually rearranged. I assume this is because you rely on the external source for the add date but they lie. I've seen the add date for a trailer change for no apparent reason besides popping it to the top.
If you have a database table that represents movie/trailer entries I recommend adding an add_date field that is set when you add an entry, not based on the external source. You should easily be able to match trailers within a movie by file_size + origin (yahoo/apple). That is how I find duplicate video entries in my system: imdb_sid + size. the name of the file is irrelevant.
Again, this site is great and frankly this is my only minor beef with it.

Adding IMDb support has been something I've been thinking of for some time. You should definitely make that suggestion.
As for the ordering, it's as I said:
"sorted by modified date (not time), followed by movie name."Both Dare and A Christmas Carol were released on 9/28. "A" comes before "D". And that's why it's sorted that way.

I didn't realize that this site was dynamically created from its sources at first. It is impressive at what it does and it is my only stop for finding hi-def trailers.
To really take it to the next level I'm guessing some manual intervention will be required. I would recommend adding an imdb sid (title number from imdb.com) to each movie entry. that is how I track my movies/tv-series/trailers at home. entries without imdb sids would not become visible until this was done. It would eliminate duplicate movies and this reliance on external sources for positioning and uniqueness. a similar internal identifier for trailers within movies would allow duplicate trailers to be lumped together.
Don't get me wrong. I love the site as is, but if the sky is the limit, unique manually set movie/trailer identifiers would add some great functionality.

Well currently on Apple.com A Christmas Carol is also before Dare, even though Dare is the newest video addition. Maybe the layout is in the image of that.

I believe it just happened with the movie Dare. That was not there yesterday and it is behind A Christmas Carol which was in the top spot yesterday and nothing has changed with A Christmas Carol
ie: Dare is newer than A Christmas Carol but it isn't in the top spot.
This happens a lot... new movies will randomly appear in the midst of the front page or prior pages. I'm not sure how last modified date is set, but it does not appear to be a trigger on the table based on insert/update of columns.

If I see it, I'll let you know.

The only time a movie gets pushed to the top is when a new clip/trailer is added. They are however sorted by modified date (not time), followed by movie name.
If you can show me an example of when a movie gets pushed to the top when no new trailer/clip is added, I'd like to see.
